What is HubSpot Marketing Hub?

Marketing Hub is HubSpot’s marketing product: email, automation, forms, landing pages, segmentation, campaign reporting and, on higher tiers, omni-channel campaigns. It runs on the same CRM database as HubSpot’s sales and service tools, so marketing activity sits on the same contact record sales teams use. For the CRM and Sales Hub, see our HubSpot CRM profile.

Who should use Marketing Hub?

  • B2B marketing teams handing leads to a sales team that also uses HubSpot.
  • Small businesses starting on the free or Starter tier who expect to grow into a full CRM.
  • Not ideal for large lists on a tight budget, because higher tiers are priced by marketing contacts.

Marketing Hub pricing

HubSpot Marketing Hub has a free tier, Starter from $7 per seat per month (promotional; regular $20), Professional from $800 a month and Enterprise from $3,600 a month. Professional and Enterprise add a required one-time onboarding fee.

How contact pricing works: you choose which contacts are “marketing contacts” (those you email or advertise to). Non-marketing contacts can be stored in the CRM free, up to 15 million, but cannot receive marketing emails or ads.

Ease of use and implementation

SoftPilot has not tested Marketing Hub hands-on. On Professional and Enterprise, onboarding is charged automatically. On Starter, HubSpot says onboarding is not required but inbound consulting is available for a fee. Decide your marketing-contact rules before importing data, since they drive cost.

Should you shortlist Marketing Hub?

Shortlist Marketing Hub if marketing and sales should share one CRM and you want to start free and grow into a full platform.

Look elsewhere if you have a large list and limited budget (consider Brevo or ActiveCampaign), or you are an ecommerce brand focused on email and SMS (consider Klaviyo).
