Corrections Policy

We work to get every fact right, but software pricing and plans change often and mistakes happen. This policy explains how to report an error and what we do about it.

How to report an error

Use our contact form and include:

• the page address;
• the statement you believe is wrong;
• the correct information, with a link to an official source if possible.

Vendors are welcome to report errors about their own products. We treat vendor reports the same way as any other: we check them against an official source before changing anything.

What we do

1. We check the report against the vendor’s official sources.
2. If the page is wrong, we correct it and update the “last verified” date and the source list.
3. If the error changed the meaning of a recommendation or a price comparison, we add a short correction note to the page saying what changed and when.
4. Routine updates, such as a vendor changing its prices after we checked them, are made without a correction note, but the page’s dates are updated.

What we will not do

• Change an assessment because a vendor asks us to without evidence of a factual error.
• Accept payment for corrections or updates.
• Remove accurate information because it is unflattering.
